AirPods 3 Everything You Need to Know Design Features & Pricing

 

the air pods 3 have been leaked and here  they are  so without any further ado get our  snacks ready and here's  everything we know all the final leaks  and rumors  on the air pods 3.  okay so Chinese audio blog 52 audio  posted a massive report with a ton of  inside details on the airbus 3.  I’ve analyzed it and it seems like they  will be essentially getting  three big changes when you design a new  case  and noise cancelling starting off with a  new design  here's how the air pods 3 look like oh  and just to make it clear by air pods 3 i  mean  the third generation of the  standard air pods  which launched back in 2016.

and as you  can probably tell they look very similar  to the air pods pro  but there are a few differences here it  seems like they lack the silicone ear tips that the air pods pro have  making them essentially a hybrid between  the air pods pro and the standard air pods  that we have now this is great for  people who always preferred the fit of  regular air pods  as opposed to the in-ear feel of the  air pods pro i personally do not like  being sealed in  as i do like to hear what is happening  around me especially when I’m outdoors  so even with the air pods pro i found  myself using the transparency mode  a lot however 52 audio also posted some  images of the Europa’s 3s  and they do show ear tips but those ear  tips are not actually attached  to the aero pods and that's because.

according to this master report that i  posted  the air pods 3 will feature optional ear  tips what this means is that by default  you'll be able to use them without any  silicone tips  just like the current air pods but then  if you want you can actually attach  individual ear  tips just like the ones for the air pods  pro and yeah kind of turn your ear pods  threes  into ear pods pros that way that is  pretty cool it is something that you  cannot do at the moment with the air pods  pros  i mean you can remove the ear tips but  they won't stay in your ear  if you do that i do believe that you  will have to buy the ear tips separately  i don't see apple including those in the box especially since.

these are supposed to be lower end ear  pods now the second design difference  that i can see  is that the proximity sensor which on  the ear pods pro used to be  at the bottom on the threes it is on the  top maybe this is because of the fact  that you can now use these air pods  without those ear tips  and now the third design change is that  at least from some of the images  the air pods 3 appeared to be slightly  smaller  than the air pods pro this should imply  that the drivers will be getting smaller  as well and therefore the sound quality  would be getting worse however 52 audio  claims that  apple will be using the same 11mm  speaker units  in the air pods 3 as found in the pros  so at least for now.

it seems like this  difference in dimensions  is likely just an error now aside from  the design changes of the ear buds  themselves the case  is also getting a big change in the way  that it is actually getting smaller  much smaller here's how it compares in  size to the cases of  all the other air pods thanks to 52 audio  we can see that the case of these newer  air pods  appears to be smaller than even the  air pods 2 case  i love audio network provided these  x-rays back in 2020 which at a time a  lot of people believe to be fake  and i still think they're fake as if you  stretch this x-ray  the air pods 3s end up looking identical  to the air pods pros  52 audio says that.

the x-ray was indeed  faked but it was faked  to give us a look at how much smaller  the air pods 3 case  would look like in comparison to the  air pods pro case okay so  smaller case probably means a smaller  battery too  right well 52 audio doesn't really say  anything about the battery life outside  of the fact that the air pods 3s  will be using a buckle battery similar  to the air pods pros  but would improve power efficiency so  the ear pods themselves should give you  a similar battery life to the air pods  pros of up to  5 hours according to i love audio  network when it comes to the case itself  the air pods pros case gives you 24 hours  of listening and according to the same  publication.

the new air pods 3s would still give you  24 hours with  a charging case which is quite strange  as you know the case is getting much  much smaller 52 audio has found some  alleged logic board components of these  new earpods  one of which they believe to be apple's upcoming h2 processor which will presumably further lower the  power consumption  speaking of poor consumption if you want  to consume more of our content  then feel free to subscribe as you know  it's it's free and also give this video  like if you're enjoying it so far  because  why not and finally we have noise  cancelling so  52 audio's report states that according  to information they learn from  i love audio network the airpods trees  will support  noise cancelling just like the airpods  pros and the price of these is rumored  to be similar to the airpods 2.

with the wireless charging case so 199  so in this case who would actually buy  the airpods pros if the 3s have a  smaller case  removable ear tips the same sound  quality the same or an even better  battery life  alongside the new h2 chip with active  noise cancelling like who would actually  buy the airpods pro then  well i guess that if this leak is 100  correct which i really  don't believe it is uh the only reason  why you might consider the airpods pros  would be that sweat and water resistance  but even then i don't see people paying  50 extra just for that and getting some  downgrades too such as  that larger case so here's what i  personally think  and you can quote me on this if i'm correct so.

i think that design wise  the airpods 3s will look very similar  not identical but very very similar to  the airpods pros  and i also think that the case will  indeed be getting smaller  but i also think that the battery life  will be noticeably worse possibly 18  hours with the case so that if you need  a better battery life  you would of course go for the airpods  pros i also don't believe that we're  going to have removable ear tips  at all i believe that they're going to  have an open ear design  just like the airpods 2. and i  definitely do not believe that they'll  be getting active noise cancelling it doesn't make any sense for apple to  add something like this to the standard airpods even.

though most of the competition does  already have this to be fair  but still my point is that the airpods  pros they need to stand out from the  regular model and i also do believe that  spatial audio  would not be included which was  something that we have seen reported  a few times that it will be included but  i don't think that that will be included  at all  so if we count all of these features  that i mentioned or the lack  of these features i would expect a price  of 159 dollars  same price as the original airpods so that would make them an affordable pair of airpods with  a great sound quality keep in mind this  is still getting improved a great fit and if you then want to pay 90 extra and upgrade to the pros you would.

get active noise cancelling as well as  passive noise canceling thanks to the  ear tips you would get water resistance  um you'd get a better battery life and  spatial audio  now that would be a product upgrade  worthy  of its pro name in the end i do miss the  days when apple was making big changes  to each  new release of their products the second  generation came out in 2019 but the  changes were very minor  the biggest one being wireless charging  but apple also increased the price  for that model unfortunately luckily  they did add the brand new h1 processor  to make the pairing process faster  and they also had the ability to invoke  siri by using the magic keyword  compared to just double tapping um which  is what we had with the first generator.

quads which was quite bad you still had a double tap  function by the way but that was pretty  much it  the sound quality remained the same  which  overall was not that great um the real  airpods 2s were essentially the airpods  pros which introduced a new design  they dramatically improved the sound  quality and they also added noise  cancelling  and spatial audio both of which worked  pretty incredible  old apple would have priced the  europod's pros the same as the original  airpods but instead  earpods pros were even more expensive  than the airpods 2s from just a few  months before  and these airpods 3s that 52 audio  has been reporting on with a smaller.

case removable ear tips and the same  exact features as the airpods pros  and the new processor they should indeed  be the true  third generation airpods no pro in their  name at all  and no pro model in apple's lineup  either  once again priced the same as the  originals this is what old apple  would do but i guess that we'll all have  to wait and see what the new apple  will do in the end but yeah let me know  the comments what do you guys think  about  these leaked airpods 3 so.
